Photography is one of my hobbies so for today I leave you with a picture. What is the temperature like were you are now?

What I learned from Mermaids?

I kind have a fascination with the ocean. I love the smell of the salty sea air, the sand in my toes and the beach filled with scattered sea shells. One thing I really love about the ocean are the mysterious of mermaids. to some they are a myth,  but they seem to be alive in the physique of other individuals. I always found the idea a bit romantic and a sort of fun as well. plus i cant deny my girls girl personality so I will admit that a sea shell bra would be kinda cool! So I have decided to make myself one. Updates on that later. for now some mermaid art and home decor!

I found this for sale on Etsy. I just love them. I cant afford them at the moment but I still find them stunning. I love the feminine aspects and the sensuality, without objectification,  that brakes with the taboos of our society. Where women are constantly bombarded on the stigmas of body shame and "modesty". What is wrong with a pair of boobs? why are people so offended by the female body? Why are man considered macho walking around shirtless and women considered whores? Is there a relation  between our  "modesty" culture and why women feel ashamed of their bodies? What do you think?

Winter Wonderland.

As a Caribbean beach bum I never thought I would end up Canada. The weather has been a shock to me, For a moment to preoccupied by the cold I forgot to to appreciate the new scenery, the beauty of the landscape. The flora and the fauna is such a new experience for me and has elevated my level of appreciation for this land.

Sometimes we get some warmth of the sun. Other days is just dark and dreary.  One the some does pay me a visit I make sure to great her and enjoy some time out doors with her. Unless she come occupied by wind I just enjoy her rays for my window.

The smell of the evergreens, they are magnificent.

                                                Gorgeous Fox

Yes, I am feeding the rabbit.

Our lives are made up of a million moments, spent in a million different ways. Some are spent searching for love, peace, and harmony. Others are spent surviving day by day. But there is no greater moment than when we find that life with all its joys and sorrows, is meant to be lived one day at the time. It's in this knowledge that we discover the most wonderful truth of all.   -author unknown-

Madame de Florian abandon apartment.

Madame de Florian was a French actress and socialite in Paris during the second World War. She fled the city in 1942, however she kept paying the rent of an apartment in the french capital on the Right Bank near the Opera Garnier. She passed away in 2010 at the age of 91, during this time the apartment has been untouched, until recently when an auctioneer entered her apartment. Everything had remained as she left it.  Here is a portrait of Madame Florian by Giovanni Boldini.

I love this vanity. It gorgeous and i wished I owned it! I have a passion for this type of furniture. The pieces of the apartment are owned by the estate and will be action.,  I wish I could afford it.

Welcome to my adventures in Winnipeg Manitoba. In the beautiful country of Canada. I moved to Canada about 2 weeks ago from Warner Robins Georgia USA. It was about a seven day journey with my husband, my two girls and my fur babies (cats). The temperatures are colder than i am use to but slowly I have come to use to it.  Our new home use to belong to a family of Italians. They grew their own grape vines and made their own wine and also grew their own tomatoes to make their home made sauce.

The neighborhood is not your typical cookie cutter houses. The houses are all unique in their own ways as they are exquisitely beautiful. I am looking forward to my new adventures here.

Flowers and a Magnolia Tree

So after winter and spring rains I have been able to see and clean out the flower beds from what ever did not survive the winter season. Let me tell you the flower beds are bare. So I went out to hunt for some flowers and i must confess it is overwhelming the amount of flowers to choose from.

I decided to go with a magnolia tree because I wanted a tree that would bring natural shade into my property with the purpose of energy conservation. Plus it is a native tree of this area. I have yet to decide what flowers I want for my flower beds. I have a lot more visits to different nurseries to make.  I am exited about the possibilities.
